- I am 26 yrs old and was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at birth. On February 25, 2004, God gave me the best gift of all....a 2nd chance at life and an opportunity to share his miracles with others. On that day, I received a LIVING DONOR Double lung transplant. My mom and a family friend sacrificed their life to save mine. Just prior to transplant, I was extremely sick. My CO2 level was 5 times normal and I was placed on a heart-lung bypass machine. I am a walking testimony of God's miracles and his mighty and powerful grace. I am now working towards my dreams and goals in life. However, I do face post-transplant complications, which sometimes intefere with my plans. However, I know God has a reason, and will never fail me. I graduated college in May of 2009 with a BS in Health Information Management, and are currently working towards my RN (nursing) degree.
