So I'm picking up from where I left off. The decision was just made for me to be evaluated for a lung transplant at St. Louis Children's Hospital. I went through the evaluation process and ended up being a good candidate for lung transplantation. So I became listed in the spring of 1998 (7th grade). I had a transplant clinic appointment this past Wednesday. Overall it went pretty good. My lungs sounded good, lab values good, and PFT's about the same.The Lisinopril seems to be working pretty well for my blood pressure. I am still monitoring it and may be stopping a medicine soon to see if it might be causing the high blood pressure. The Lisinopril is also known to cause high potassium levels

As far as my lungs go...everything has stayed about the same today. I kept my oxygen off during the day. I am going to turn it down to 1 liter during the night instead of 2 liters, to see how I do. YAY!!! The University of Alabama Football Team beat Florida in the SEC Championship yesterday!! It was such an awesome game and I am so proud of how they played!!! ROLL TIDE!! Apparently the ultrasound I had on Thursday to check out the fluid in my abdomen turned out normal. The only thing they saw was pelvic fluid. I was told by my regular GI doctor that the pelvic fluid was normal, and just sympathetic womanly fluid. I may discuss that with my GYN though just to make sure. Sorry for just now posting an update. Briefly, here is a quick update: The surgery was successful and was able to be performed laproscopically. However, I am in a tremendous amount of pain and are taking pain meds around the clock. I have 4 small incisions and most of the pain is around this area. i also have pain in my shoulders, which I was told this is due to the air they put in your stomach
