These are pictures from Ocean Beach, San Diego. I am amazed at how many people were on this beach at the time. NOTHING like our Gulf Coast or Florida Beaches. There were also some VERY interesting people on this beach. But nevertheless, it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We ate dinner at a restaurant on the strip called "Hodads." VERY interesting, but evidently is known as one of the best burger places in the U.S.
These are pictures from Point Loma, San Diego. It houses the Cabrillo National Monument. San Juan Cabrillo was the Spanish Explorer who "discovered" San Diego. Point Loma is also the home of a Naval Base, National Cemetary, tide pools, and a light house. The lighthouse in the pictures is no longer used. However, a new one was built and is monitored by the Coast Guard on the Naval Base. It is a beautiful area with an awesome view of the ocean.
I'm back from my trip to San Diego.
I'm so exhausted...as I just got in! So...I will post hopefully tomorrow. I took over 500 snapshot pictures and lots of video. So I will definitely share! It just may take me a few days to go through all of the pictures!
I'm back to work in the morning and we have a family birthday bash tomorrow (well I guess it's already Monday) night. So hang in there. I promise I will post soon.
The trip was awesome and the plane ride went great. God definitely watched over me and everything went extremely smooth...not one single problem the whole trip.

Well,I just finished my last final exam and my plane leaves in 2 hours for San Diego! I'm so excited and can't wait to get out there (although it will be a fairly short trip). However, any trip is better than no trip. I'm quite nervous about the plane ride, as I've never flown by myself. I'm sure it will be fine though. Please keep me in your prayers as I travel (practically across the U.S.).
I'll post when I get back. I'm NOT taking my computer with me!
So if I don't post in the next few days (or rather 5 or so days)...here is why:
The school summer semester ends next Thursday. I've already taken 1 final exam (last week) and I have two more this week. I also have a lot of paperwork due for my clinical class I had, which involves 2 papers, flow charts, proposed stuff, etc. It's a nightmare in my opinion. I'll also be working Monday and Tuesday like usual, and attending my clinical on Wednesday morning for my final evaluation. Then Thursday morning I take a final exam, and then I leave for San Diego right after lunch. So needless to say....i might go insane until then :) (hopefully not though).
To top it all off.....my sinus infection has come back, and has not left me feeling too well. I only had 10 days of abx for my beach trip, so I'm not sure what's going to happen or what I need to do for this next trip. I was also supposed to go last week to get lab work redrawn, since my WBC count was so low. So I'm not sure if I'm going to try and do that before my trip or not? The week after I return, i have another photo session, so I might wait and get reevaluated then...who knows?
I'm trying to pack and prepare for my plane trip too. One of the things I have to make sure I have is documentation of all my medicines that i have to take. So I'm calling my coordinator on Monday to get that amongst a few other things. I need to get on the airline website too and read all the guidelines pertaining to liquids, etc. I don't fly much at all, and knowing me, I'll probably pack something illegal. And...I've never flown by myself. And from Alabama to California...that's a long way. Nevertheless, I'm so excited!
So, I need to get back to studying..These flow charts are driving me crazy and take up enough brain power for one day. 1 down...2 more to go!
