(from Kori)
Dear Everyone,

After seeing the Oncologist on Thursday July 9th we learned that the cancer is progressing as expected. The rapid weight loss, skin conditions, sleeping 20+ hours a day, not wanting to eat and difficulty going to the restroom are all normal and expected. Since Richard is now on hospice where the nurse comes to our home every Tuesday the Doctor doesn't feel the need to see Richard unless something serious is happening. We also talked about the possibility of Richard having to have an Ostomy if the restroom issues continues to worsen. Richard does not want that but understands it may be a necessity.

The reality of what is happening is really starting to set in with us as we see the changes that are taking place with his health more on a daily basis now.

We know that God has given us the strength and energy to get through the difficult days and He will continue to do so as we face the days ahead. We would not be able to get through this if it were not for God's grace and we are so blessed to have so many people going to God on our behalf. Please continue to pray for us as well as strength of spirit as we move closer to the end of this journey and into another.

We are overwhelmed by all of the offers to help us in more tangible ways. There have been several people that have offered to make meals and to care for the boys in the days ahead. We are truly touched.

However that is not where our greatest need lies. Our greatest need is financial, as we face the days ahead. As Richard continues to worsen the time that I will be off work is now closer than ever and we are unsure how everything is going to work. We trust that God will be there to guide us through it all.

We got with Wachovia Bank back in May and set up a Trust Fund. The Trust Fund's sole purpose is to be used wherever the greatest financial need lies with our family. Once Richard has passed the Trust Fund will be left open and the funds saved to be used for the boys education when they get older.

If you would like to make a tax-deductible Charitable Contribution of any amount you may do so by choosing one of three ways.

#1 By clicking the Chip In Button and donating online.

#2 By visiting any Wachovia Bank branch and making a deposit into the "McCulley Family Trust."

#3 If you do not have a Wachovia Bank in your area and do not feel comfortable donating online yet you would still like to donate you can do so by sending a check or money order to...

McCulley Family Trust
P.O. Box 261
Graysville, Alabama 35073

I know that many of you have wanted to do something to help, well this is it. Doesn't matter if it is just one dollar your support for our family is immeasurable and we will never forget it.

We can not thank you enough for your support during all this. You all are wonderful and dear to us. May God continue to bless you.
All our love, The McCulley's
