I am 27 yrs old and was diagnosed with CF at birth. In 2004, God gave me a 2nd chance at life and an opportunity to share his miracles with others. On that day, I received a living donor double lung transplant. My mom and a family friend risked their life to save mine. I am a walking testimony of God's miracles and his mighty and powerful grace.
Despite being sick over the years, I've never given up and worked towards my dreams and goals in life. I graduated college in May of 2009 with a BS in Health Information Management, and again in May of 2012 with my Bachelors in Nursing degree. I currently work at Children's Hospital as a cardiac ICU nurse.
Jeremiah 29:11 -“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."
"I will not die, but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done. The Lord has chastened me severly, but he has not given me over to death." Psalm 118:17-18
Happy moments, praise God. Difficult moments, seek God. Quite moments, worship God. Painful moments, trust God. Every moment, thank God!
"Sometimes the only thing that props you up in the morning is a shot of caffeine (coffee or soda), the daily grind. You'd move heaven and earth to get your hands on it. So what would happen if you treated your devotional time with God that way" -Sarah Arthur
It's so hard to see the pain my husband goes through and it hurts even more to know that he is not the only one that has to deal with these things. I pray that the Doctor can provide you with some comfort. The fact that you know God lives can be the best cure for pain though.
